After watching some of the Geelong games in the VFL, Bek and I decided we’d actually go down to TEAC Oval and watch the preliminary final betweeb Geelong and Williamstown. Although the weather turned a little nasty, it was a good day and Geelong ended up beating Williamstown by a few goals.
There were plenty of hard feeling from the Collingwood supporters that were there, living up to their reputation. This obviously excludes Jezza, and we won’t hold being a Collingwood supporter against him.

I emerged GNOME 2.16 on all of my Gentoo boxes over the weekend. I always love a good GNOME release, and this is no exception. It feels a little quicker, and even a little more stable.
Cheers to the GNOME devs for a great release.

It’s great to see that Double the Fist is coming back for Series 2 on JTV. I found it hard to believe that the ABC would drop Double the Fist in the first place, after winning an AFI Award in 2004 for Best Comedy Series – Sitcom or Sketch.
Full Fist to those who watch Double the Fist. Aararrggggghhhh!!!!

Bek and I just got back from our short holiday to Brisbane.e
We went to Dreamworld and Movieworld, and I got to ride all the cool rides. My favourite would probably be the Superman ride at Movieworld. Unlike the rides at Dreamworld, the Movieworld rides have a story, which makes the rides a little more interesting. The Superman ride was also nice because you shoot through a wall of a building though steam, so you can’t see what’s coming.. also the fact you go from 0 to 100km/h in 2 seconds.

Me doing my best Superman impression, while riding the Superman ride at Movie World

So, the floor has been mopped 3 times and it’s still sticky. It was an awesome party, and I think everyone who came had a great time.
I’ve got heaps of photos which will hopefully be online tomorrow. So check out my Photo Gallery soon.

Lastly, a big ‘you guys are fucking weak’ to the network engineering crew, except Tom. Tom would have totally made it, if he had not been in sunny QLD.
UPDATE: The photos are now in the gallery

Up late to watch Australia beat Japan in a nail-biter last night at Stretch and Jizzle’s place.
After the controversial goal by Japan, in the first half (that should have been a foul on Schwarzer), Cahill scored for Australia’s in the 86th minute of the game to level the score. Australia, with a boost of confidence managed to decimate Japan with another two goals, all in the last 8 minutes of the game.
Go Aussie!

Nelsie invited me out for dinner on Saturday night at Two Fat Indians in East Melbourne (map). Do yourself a favour, and get some Butter Chicken into you. It’s awesome. I also had some garlic naan action and also tried this dumpling-type desert. I can’t remember what it was called, but it was hell good.
You need to eat, they need your business. Go there!
UPDATE: Two Fat Indians have now got their web site up.

So now that we have a couple of new housemates (Jza, Amanda and Keachy) it’s time for another housewarming.

I found that the Wikipedia entry on Breakdancing is very helpful for ideas on what to wear
