Geelong (def) v West Coast

Saw a spectacular game of football on Sunday afternoon. Geelong 16.13 (109) defeating West Coast 10.10 (70).
The reason I enjoyed this game so much was not only because Geelong beat the reigning premiers, or because West Coast had won every game since the season began, but because they played with such confidence. It was really impressive when Ling and Corey kept both Judd and Kerr from really picking up momentum like they usually do.
Geelong does have a habit of winning tough games but dropping the easy ones. I hope that this form continues anyway.
I can see the Geelong Advertiser headlines now. Front page, back page and 90% of everything in between will be Cats Cats Cats (at least until Sunday anyway).
I dont even like football, but i feel compelled to remind you, geelong often have great form at the start of the season, but as soon as they get near anything good, like the grand final, they get big-head syndrome and f!ck everything up again.

well the true test will best the next few games…. on the road… and we all know geelongs record of at AAMI stadium. hey good point in time to break out in song….. were on the road again (insert husky western tones here)
Go Cats! I think we can alter the ledger that lists the cats record at AAMI as being constantly shit, to something a little more positive. Yes, it was wet, and yes the Cats often play well for a while and then fall into a big hole…but to be honest, who cares? All I care about is the fact that right now, they’re playing great footy - team footy:) Bring on the Saints and the Crows I say.

have watched every game this season… (wish they had a tv game, oh well foxtel it is)
the cats are really kickin arse, and i reckon they’ll keep it up.
they’re saying the same shit as they always do, being “we dont want to get ahead of ourselves”, “we’re taking one game at a time” etc.. etc..
i agree we’ve seen this all before, cats getting up early and whoopin arse and then falling in a heap, happens too often.
but i reckon this time is different
i believe they can win the grand final this time.

I’d be happy to settle for a top 4 spot at the end of the season, watching them play that hard and fast style of game that we’re seeing now.
