Farewell and good luck to Tom who is embarking on an epic journey on the Young Endeavour this afternoon. He’s flying to Cairns to spend a couple of days and then boarding the ship on Monday afternoon to sail for a week and a half.
On a sad note, it is an awful tradegy what has happened in Londan today. An Australian guy called up Channel 7 news last night who was at the Kings Cross station at the time of the bombing who really brought it home for me. You can see this images on TV, but to hear this Aussie-as guy talking about how his mate can’t find his girlfriend who was going to meet them at the station, about seeing maimed people all over the place and blood everywhere, and then about how he was seconds away from the whole Bali bombing thing really makes you realise how sad this situation is.
